Although cricket betting has dozens of markets, a few are used most often.
Match Winner
Which team will win — this is the simplest market. In T20 there is no draw, so there are two outcomes. In Test cricket there are three possible outcomes, so the odds differ slightly. If you bet on Team A winning, you only win if that result occurs.
Toss
Which team will win the toss — a 50-50 market, so odds are usually close. When the toss becomes more important due to pitch or weather conditions, interest in this market increases.

How to Read Odds — Three Formats
The same odds can be written in three ways — decimal, fractional and American. The decimal format is the easiest on viptaka's interface, but it is good to understand all three.
Example 1 — Team A wins (৳200 bet):
Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200. If you win, you get back ৳600 (৳400 profit + ৳200 original stake). If you lose, ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B favourite (৳200 bet):
Decimal 1.25 = Fractional 1/4 = American -400. American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win 100. A ৳200 bet returns ৳250 (৳50 profit).
The decimal number directly shows the total return including the original stake — so it is the easiest to learn. Fractional shows only the profit.
Multi-Bet Calculation
If three selections have decimal odds of 1.50, 1.70 and 1.90, the combined odds are 1.50 × 1.70 × 1.90 ≈ 4.84. A ৳100 bet returns ৳484 if all win. If even one of the three loses, the full ৳100 is gone — that is the nature of a multi-bet.
Live Betting — Odds shift when wickets fall
Betting during a match is now the most common form. In in-play betting, markets update every over.
Live example: Team A has scored 80 runs in 10 overs with 2 wickets down. If two more wickets fall suddenly, the odds for Team B winning decrease — because the batting side has weakened. At that moment, a bet on Team B could have offered a comparatively higher return.
- The Match Winner market odds are recalculated every over — quick decisions are important.
- If the run rate is high during powerplay overs, the odds on the over market drop quickly.
- When wickets fall in the death overs (16–20), the total runs Over/Under market moves the most.
- In Test cricket, if the pitch softens in the final session of the day, changes occur in the spinners' wicket market.
